Uttar Pradesh: Rs 68 lakh recovered from a car, youth detained

Maharajganj: A youth was detained with Rs 68 lakh cash by a joint team of the police and Sashastra Seema Police (SSB) Kolhui area of Maharajganj district here in Uttar Pradesh on Monday, a police officer said.

Circle Officer Komal Prasad Mishra said that during joint checking the police and SSB recovered Rs 68 from the car.

"When quizzed the car driver Rohit Yadav failed to give a satisfactory answer regarding the money recovered from his vehicle," he said.

He said that car driver Rohit has been detained and is being quizzed.

"The youth is also being quizzed by other agencies. Further action is being taken," he said.
