New Delhi, Dec 24 (IBNS): Ex-Air Chief Marshal SP Tyagi, who is one of the accused in the VVIP chopper case, has been allowed by the Delhi High Court to travel abroad, media reports said.

Tyagi was earlier arrested in connection with the VVIP chopper deal scam.

Tyagi and his cousin, Sanjeev, had moved the court seeking permission to travel to the US in March next year.

In Dec last year,  Tyagi was granted bail in the case.

The CBI had  arrested Tyagi for allegedly receiving kickbacks from middlemen for granting undue favours.

The CBI alleged that middlemen hired by helicopter manufacturer AgustaWestland routed money to the former air chief through his cousins.
