WB: Police recover 60 kg explosives

Kolkata/Murshidabad, Aug 9 (IBNS): The Murshidabad district police recovered 60 kg explosives from Ajagarpara More area under Raghunathganj police station in Murshidabad district of West Bengal on Sunday.

Murshidabad SP C. Sudhakar told IBNS: "Police have recovered 60 kg explosives from Ajagarpara More area beside NH-34 under Raghunathganj Police Station in Murshidabad district and arrested two suspects. They have identified as  Aktar Sk. and Rafikul Sk. They are the residents of Suti in Murshidabad."

"After getting specific information from our sources we made this move. We are interrogating them to know about their motives. We are also investigating to know if there is any terrorist connection in this matter," he added.

Police have not clarified the nature of the explosives yet.

The arrested will be produced to the court on Monday.
