West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee wishes Karunanidhi speedy recovery

Kolkata, July 27 (IBNS): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday said she is concerned about the health of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK patriarch M Karunanidhi.

Mamata Banerjee said she wishes to see the southern politician recover soon from his condition.

"Concerned about the health of @kalaignar89 Hope and pray that Karunanidhi Ji recovers soon @mkstalin," Banerjee tweeted.

Karunanidhi,94, is being treated for fever due to urinary tract infection with intravenous antibiotics and fluids.

On Friday, Tamil Nadu ministers and actor-turned-politician Kamal Hassan visited Karunanidhi at his Gopalapuram residence.

Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister O Paneerselvam was among the ministers who visited the DMK chief's house.

Karunanidhi is being treated by a team of doctors as his family has decided against admitting him in a hospital.
