West Bengal Chief Minister welcomes Supreme Court's verdict

Kolkata, Mar 21 (IBNS): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee welcomed the Supreme Court's order of allowing CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) probe to continue in Narada sting case on Tuesday.

The Supreme Court rejected the plea of both the state government and Trinamool Congress to give a stay order on CBI probe in Narada sting case.

Speaking about the verdict of the Supreme Court, Mamata said: "It is progressive and constructive."

The Supreme Court on Tuesday has refused to stay the CBI probe into the Narada sting case against the Trinamool Congress Part (TMC), who are at the helm of West Bengal, according to media reports.

The West Bengal government and the TMC had approached the apex court against the Calcutta High Court's order asking CBI to take charge of the case.

SC has asked CBI to complete probe in one month, media reported.
