West Bengal: Trinamool Congress supporter shot dead in Nadia district

| @indiablooms | Aug 30, 2023, at 11:43 pm

Trinamool Congress supporter, identified as Matiazul Dafadar, was shot dead and his uncle Mohatali and son Samjhi were injured when unidentified miscreants entered their house and fired indiscriminately on Wednesday morning, Nadia district police said.

The trouble had been brewing since yesterday, and its impact happened early on Wednesday when the assailants, armed with weapons, attacked the TMC leader's house and fired indiscriminately.

All three wounded were taken to a local hospital, where the medics declared Matiazul dead.

The two wounded have been taken to the Krishnanagar hospital.

The victims family members alleged infighting in the party led to the quarrel and murder, which the TMC denied. The police began the probe.
