New Delhi, Dec 11 (IBNS): Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday congratulated Congress workers for the party's victories in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh and said the party would provide governments the people could be proud of.

Speaking to the media in the evening as the counting of votes drew to a close, Rahul said: "I want to congratulate the Congress workers and also the governments in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh for the work they have done over the last few years."

"I also want to congratulate the parties that won in Mizoram and Telangana," said Rahul, adding that he hoped the Congress wins in Madhya Pradesh as well.

"The farmers and the youth have sent their message to the Prime Minister," he said.

Madhya Pradesh is set for a photo finish with the Congress and the BJP neck to neck as the counting draws to a close.
