Woman conductor stripped, beaten near Mumbai

Mumbai, June 4 (IBNS): A male passenger was arrested after he stripped and beaten up a woman conductor of a state transport bus at Dombivli town near Mumbai city in Maharashtra on Wednesday, reports said.

The incident occurred at around 8: 30 am when the bus was  going to Dombivali railway station.

The accused was identified as Abhishek Singh.

According to reports, the incident occurred when the victim and the bus driver objected against boarding the vehicle from the front door and asked him to take the rear entrance.

Singh allegedly abused them after entering the bus.

He manhandled the conductor after she asked him not to abuse the bus driver, reports said.

The police have arrested the accused.
