World leaders wish India on Republic Day

World leaders joined to wish India on Republic Day which was observed by the South Asian nation on Jan 26.

French President Emmanuel Macron tweeted: "As India celebrates Republic Day, I convey my warmest wishes to my dear friend @NarendraModi and the Indian people. I look forward to setting new ambitions together for the G20 and for our Indo-French strategic partnership as it turns 25 this year."

Modi tweeted back: "Grateful for your warm greetings my dear friend
@EmmanuelMacron on India’s Republic Day. I share your commitment to work together for success of India’s G20 Presidency & 25th anniversary of India-France Strategic Partnership. India and France together are a force for global good. "

Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu said: "To my dear friend Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the people of India, I would like to congratulate you and offer my best wishes on India's 74th Republic Day. I am certain the already close bond between our countries will continue to grow stronger with every passing year."

Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih remarked: "Warm greetings from Maldives to PM @narendramodi, government and people of India on their 74th Republic Day. May the the spirit of democracy, justice and peace long prevail in India."

Bhutan's Prime Minister's Office said: "The people of Bhutan and I send our best wishes and prayers to the people of India on the 74th Republic Day. As India charts a new path ahead, I offer my good wishes for India’s progress and prosperity."

Nepal PM said: "On the occasion of the 74th Republic Day of India, I extend warm felicitations and best wishes to Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji, the government and friendly people of India."
