Lucknow/UNI: Exhorting people to go for vaccination against COVID, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Sunday that vaccination is a campaign through which we can successfully fight a decisive battle against this deadly disease and secure the life of every citizen.

While inspecting `Tika Utsav’ campaign at Shakti Bhawan here on Sunday the Chief Minister said that every person above the age of 45, who has not taken the vaccine, should get himself registered at the vaccine Center and be a part of the vaccination campaign.

He said that the vaccine is safe and is a big instrument in protecting us from corona. Everyone who falls in the eligibility category should get a COVID vaccination.

“Caution is very important even after taking the vaccine. Treatment is an important protection against illness," he said.

Therefore, to avoid corona, everyone should follow the mantra of ' social distancing and wearing mask’.

The Chief Minister paid his tribute to Mahatma Jyotiba Phule on his birth anniversary and said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi organized the 4-day 'Teeka Utsav' on April 11, from the birth anniversary of Mahatma Jyojiba Phule to birthday to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar' – the architect of Indian Constitution on April 14.

He said that a special vaccination campaign is being run in 6,000 centers in the state.

Covid vaccination will be done at 8,000 centers tomorrow on April 12, he said.
