PM addresses Leh garrison
Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Ladakh sector on 12 Aug 2014. General Dalbir Singh, COAS, received the Prime Minister at Leh. Thereafter, the Prime Minister addressed the soldiers at Leh. He said he was aware of the aspirations of the soldier and the challenges being faced by them. He complimented the soldiers for their selfless duty in service of the Nation. Assuring the troops of the nations commitment to maintain them at highest level of preparation, the Prime Minister also stated that the Government was committed to the ‘One Rank One Pension’ scheme and the construction of the National War Memorial.
