12-day film extravaganza set to begin in Canada on May 10

Toronto, May 6 (IBNS) – The International Film Festival of South Asia Toronto, the voice of South Asian cinema in Canada, is set to begin on May 10, media reports said.

In its sevensth year now, IFFSA has become an international icon. It has grown over the years to become a festival of festivals and transformed into an institution.

Diverse language independent selection of the best feature films, featurette films, short films, documentaries and music films on themes of South Asian cultures and identities around the world are being showcased for more than 12 days.

Reportedly a select number of foreign films are being considered under Beyond South Asia segment in the spirit of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam – the world is one family”.

In addition, gala dinners, red carpet premiers, concerts, lounge parties, exhibitions and seminars would be organized.
