Aamir's Dangal beats 'Monday blues', rakes up INR 25 crore

Mumbai, Dec 27 (IBNS): Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan braved the demonetisation and Monday blues to notch up a fine performance at the Box office, raking up a whooping INR 25.48 crore and with an overall collection of 132.43 crore so far.

Dangal had already crossed the 100-crore mark on Sunday.

"#Dangal has an INCREDIBLE Mon... Fri 29.78 cr, Sat 34.82 cr, Sun 42.35 cr, Mon 25.48 cr. Total: ₹ 132.43 cr. India biz. FABULOUS!" business analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Dangal is a biopic of India's foremost wrestling family, the Phogats.

It stars Aamir Khan as former Indian wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat and Fatima Sana Sheikh and Sanya Malhotra as wrestlers Geeta and Babita Phogat respectively.

Dangal released on Dec 23, 2016 in India.
