Actor Shahid Kapoor turns 34

Mumbai, Feb 25 (IBNS): Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor, who has mesmerised his fans with his performance in 'Haider', turned 34 years of age on Wednesday

This year is very special for Shahid as his performance in Haider has not only garnered critical appreciation but at the same fetched him the Filmfare Award for Best Actor.

Shahid started his career by working in music videos and advertisements and made his Bollywood debut with 'Ishq Vishk' in 2003. The film won him a Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut for his performance.

He followed it with films like 'Fida' (2004), 'Shikhar' (2005) and had his first major commercial success with Sooraj R. Barjatya's 'Vivah' (2006).

He earned nominations for the Filmfare Best Actor Award for his performances in 'Jab We Met' (2007) and 'Kaminey' (2009).

After a series of unsuccessful attempts, the actor had a decent 2013 with 'Phata Poster Nikla Hero' and 'R... Rajkumar'.

He has a series of upcoming films including: 'Kismat Connection 2', 'Pocket Maar' and 'A Slumdog Millionaire Goes Dancing'.
