AGP stages 'Blame it on Yashraj'

Mumbai, May 27 (IBNS): Ashvin Gidwani Productions (AGP) recently staged the humorous play ‘Blame it on Yashraj’ at St. Andrews here.

The play was written and directed by Bharat Dhabolkar.

AGP noted that the show staged on May 18 was a huge success with renowned celebrities attending it.

‘Blame it on Yashraj’ successfully amused the audiences in Hong Kong and in Mumbai, while taking them on a laughter ride, the officials said.

Speaking about it, Ashvin Gidwani, MD & Producer, AGP said, “It is my privilege to work with Bharat who is an incredible person. ‘Blame It on Yashraj’ has been one of our most successful plays and we are extremely pleased that the audiences in Hong Kong have welcomed it.”

Gidwani said, “To see the audiences of Mumbai loving the show have also been a humbling experience.”

Bharat Dhabolkar said, “I am glad that ‘Blame it on Yashraj’ was loved by the people of Hong Kong and Mumbai. It is a great achievement for me and my wonderful cast of talented actors. I look forward to continue writing such stories and keep entertaining my audiences.”

Actress Vidya Malvade, Director Vivek Vaswani and actress Perizaad Zorabian among other well-known personalities were seen enjoying and loving the show.

‘Blame it on Yashraj’ is a hilarious story of a Punjabi/Bengali family caught up in the whirlwind of a wedding, getting bigger and bigger by the day, when their darling daughter decides to marry a Muslim boy.

The cast of the play comprises of Ananth Mahadevan, Jayati Bhatia, Anchal Sabharwal, Punit Tejwani, Smita Hai, Gaurav Sharma, Palash Dutta and Neel Gagdan.
