Mumbai/IBNS: The tough times of Bollywood seems to be longer as two big-budget films, Rakshan Bandhan and Laal Singh Chaddha, went off to a weak start in the box office Thursday.

The two films, which are led by superstars like Akshay Kumar (Raksha Bandhan) and Aamir Khan (Laal Singh Chaddha), were released on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan Thursday.

According to various reports, the occupancy in both the films lagged behind at 10-12 percent on the opening day.

Film critic and business analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "STOP painting a rosy picture... Let's get the facts right... The *advance bookings* of #LaalSinghChaddha and #RakshaBandhan are way BELOW EXPECTATIONS... Both dependent on [i] spot bookings / walk-in audience and [ii] word of mouth to put up strong totals on Day 1 [Thu]."
