Amitabh Bachchan tests COVID-19 negative, discharged from hospital: Abhishek Bachchan confirms

Mumbai: Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has tested negative COVID-19, his son Abhishek Bachchan confirmed.

He has been discharged from hospital.

Abhishek said his father will take rest in his home now.

Abhishek tweeted: "My father, thankfully, has tested negative on his latest Covid-19 test and has been discharged from the hospital. He will now be at home and rest. Thank you all for all your prayers and wishes for him."

Earlier, Abhishek's wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya had tested positive for Coronavirus.

They were discharged later.

Amitabh Bachchan and COVID-19 positive son Abhishek were admitted to hospital on July 11.
