Mumbai, Sept 11 (IBNS): Tanishaa Mukerji, who is shooting for a film that depicts the life of social activist Anna Hazare, was pleasantly surprised on sets recently.

The actress plays the role of a feisty journalist in the film. She received an impromptu visit by her mother, veteran actress Tanuja who was caught off guard and was surprised herself too.

Anna Hazare was present on sets at the same time in Ralegan Siddhi in rural Maharashtra, which is also his hometown.

As source revealed, "Anna admitted that he was Tanuja's fan and had watched several of her films, including Baharen Phir Bhi Aayangi, Jewel Thief and Haathi Mere Saathi, while serving in the army. He also invited the actress for a home-cooked meal, insisting she return for a traditional Maharashtrian feast."

Tanishaa has always shared a warm rapport with her mother and considers her as a mentor. To know that an inspirational person like Anna Hazare is her mother’s fan is a matter of pride for the actress. Shashank Udapurkar's directorial went on floors on Tuesday with the famous Jan Lokpal bill rally being recreated on the first day of the shoot.
