Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh to contribute to PM Cares Fund to combat COVID-19

Mumbai/IBNS: Indian actors and celebrity couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh on Saturday announced to contribute to PM Cares Fund to help in the fight against the deadly Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.

Padukone wrote on Twitter, "In times like these, every bit counts. We humble pledge to contribute to the PM-CARES FUND and hope that you will too. We're all in this together, and we shall overcome. Jai Hind. Deepika and Ranveer."

Akshay Kumar was the first Bollywood actor to contribute to the fund created by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to receive donations to fight the pandemic virus.

Kumar has contributed Rs. 25 crore to PM Cares Fund.

Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma too have announced that they would contribute to PM Cares Fund.
