Kochi/IBNS: Mohanlal-starrer Drishyam 3 has set the box office on fire, registering a massive opening collection worldwide, Sacnilk reported.
The much-awaited thriller sequel earned an impressive Rs. 45 crore globally on its opening day.
Strong India Opening
The film collected Rs. 18.50 crore in India, including around Rs. 11 crore from Kerala alone.
With these numbers, Drishyam 3 has emerged as the second-highest Malayalam opener ever.
Excellent Overseas Response
The franchise continued its strong run in international markets as well, posting impressive collections from the Gulf region, North America, the United Kingdom and Australia.
Mohanlal Returns As Georgekutty
Directed by Jeethu Joseph, the film sees Mohanlal reprise his iconic role of Georgekutty.
The cast also features Meena, Ansiba Hassan, Esther Anil, Asha Sharath, Siddique, Murali Gopy and KB Ganesh Kumar.
