Fans remember Om Puri on 67th birth anniversary

Mumbai, Oct 18 (IBNS): Fans remembered late actor Om Puri on his 67th birth anniversary on Wednesday.

A brilliant actor, Puri passed away in January this year.

Remembering him, actor Anupam Kher tweeted: "प्यारे #ओमपुरी जी। नयी दुनिया में यहाँ की दुनिया वाले जन्मदिन की शुभकामनायें। जहाँ भी आप हों, ख़ुश ही होंगे। मैं आपको बहुत मिस करता हूँ। (Lovable Om Puri. Happy birthday to you in your new world. Wherever you are, stay happy and I miss you a lot)."

Filmmaker Nila Madhab Panda posted: "HBD #OmPuri ji..feel blessed to share my birthday with u..1 of the most versatile actors I have ever worked with @OmRajeshPuri gone 2 soon ."

Sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik remembered him by creating a sand art to pay tribute to the actor.

He tweeted: "Remembering the legend of #Bollywood #OmPuri on his birth anniversary. One of my SandArts."

Om Puri was born in Ambala, Haryana, to a Punjabi family on Oct 18, 1950.

He made his film debut in the 1976 Marathi film Ghashiram Kotwal, based on a Marathi play of the same name by Vijay Tendulkar.

He later continued to act in movies like Aakrosh,Gandhi,Mirch Masala,Narsimha,The Ghost and the Darkness,My Son the Fanatic and many more.

Om Puri was known to his fans for his brilliant acting skills.
