Farah Khan, Farhan Akhtar share birthdays

Mumbai, Jan 9 (IBNS): Bollywood's two most popular and charming personalities, who leave a mark in the film industry with their movies-Farah Khan and Farhan Akhtar-shared their birthdays on Friday.
While choreographer-director-actress Farah Khan turned 50 years of age, filmmaker-actor Farhan Akhtar turned 41.
 
If reports are to be believed, Farah's triplets-Czar, Diva and Anya-have planned a surprise for her big day.
 
According to Mid-Day report, the entire 'Happy New Year' team including Shah Rukh Khan will be present at her Lokhandwala home for a grand bash.
 
Farah, who is currently shooting for the reality show 'Bigg Boss 8' will also take a day-off on her special day.
 
The ace choreographer-director also took it to Twitter to express herself on the eve of her birthday, "Last evening of my 40s!! But they say if u still havnt grown up by the time ur 50...u don't have to ever!! So there."
 
Meanwhile, no birthday plans of Farhan was made public.
 
Farhan formed a band, Farhan Live, last year with which he has been busily touring across borders currently.
 
Born to writer-lyricist Javed Akhtar, Farhan made his directorial debut with 'Dil Chahta Hai' in 2001, and seven years later in 2008 he made his acting debut with the film 'Rock On!!'.
 
He made his Hollywood debut through the soundtrack of 'Bride and Prejudice' in 2004, for which he wrote the lyrics. 
 
He tasted his first commercial success with 'Don' in 2006, though failing to receive critical acclaim for it. 
 
Farhan won the first National Award for his very first directorial venture, 'Dil Chahta Hai' and a second National Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi as producer for the film 'Rock on!!'.
 
He then acted in, produced and wrote the dialogues for the critical and commercial success 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' (2011), which also won two National awards.
 
His work in the 2013 sports biopic film 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' to portray the legendary athlete Milkha Singh, was highly appreciated. The film also entered the much-hyped Rs. 100 crore club.
 
He also bagged his third Filmfare Award for Best Actor for his role in the biopic.
 
His upcoming directorial ventures include 'Don 3' and 'Raees', where in the later one he also plans to act. 
 
As an actor, he will be seen next in 'Wazir'.
 
On the other hand, Farah, who started her carer as a choreographer, has won the Filmfare Best Choreography Award five times. 
 
She is also the recipient of the National Film Award for Best Choreography - "Idhar Chala Main Udhar Chala" from the film 'Koi Mil Gaya' in 2004.
 
Farah debuted as director with the film 'Main Hoon Na' which was a huge success. She became the second female director to be nominated for Filmfare Best Director Award. 
 
Her second movie 'Om Shanti Om' became the highest grossing Hindi film of all time at its time of release.
 
Farah featured as a lead actress in the film 'Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi'.
 
Off screen, she has judged several reality shows like ' Tere Mere Beach Mein', 'Indian Idol-Season 1 and 2', 'Jo Jeeta Wohi Super Star', 'Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega', 'Dance India Dance Li'l Masters', and 'Just Dance'.
 
Currently, she has stepped into Salman Khan's shoes and is hosting the TRP garner 'Bigg Boss 8 Halla Bol' series on small screen.
 
The multi-talented celeb is married to director-editor Shirish Kunder and is the mother of triplets.
 
The year 2014 has been significant and successful for Farah as her ambitious project  'Happy New Year' was a big hit at the Box Office.
