Mumbai/IBNS: India’s leading women’s brand, Femina recently featured the Sri Lankan beauty and Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez for their June e-issue, and it is definitely a riveting read for one and all.

Having spent more than a decade in the industry, the actress speaks in length about her Bollywood journey, her recent OTT debut, fighting for animal rights, future projects and the challenges that she’s faced so far.

Known to pursue excellence at every front, the actor has recently enrolled in an acting school. When asked about her Bollywood journey and the reason for joining the acting school, Jaqueline said, “I have suffered from performance anxiety, and felt that enrolling in an acting school would help me eliminate that."

"I wanted to be able to go on set, and have a good time as I see other actors doing," she said.

"I want to continue my stint at acting school because it has made me respect the craft much more, especially because I studied with people who have so much passion for acting," the Sri Lankan beauty said.

Talking about her Bollywood journey, Jaqueline said,"I knew I wanted to be an actor since I was seven. Funny turn of events led me to India. I didn’t anticipate it; I just took up a modelling assignment when I was spotted by Sujoy Ghosh. It was then that I realized that this is what I wanted to keep doing. My big break came with the 2009 film, Aladin. My journey since then has been great. Of course, there have been ups and downs, but it’s everything I could have asked for.”
