Have to work very hard to make my relevant films entertaining for the audience: Jha

Mumbai, Feb 4 (IBNS) National Award-winning filmmaker Prakash Jha, who is known for making socially relevant films, is presently on a promotional spree for his upcoming cop drama Jai Gangaajal and during a promotional event in Ranchi, he stated that it is a challenge for him to make his hard-hitting films entertaining.

At a press conference in Jharkhand's capital, when asked if it is difficult to make the kind of films that he is known for, the ace director said, “Each film of mine focuses on our ever-changing society. Yes, it’s very challenging to make socially relevant films and to present them in an entertaining way as my films release in the same theaters as adult comedies and in the same amount of money people can see either. So I have to work very hard to attract my audience and to make them engage with my content. But there are no two ways about it.”

Written and directed by Prakash Jha, produced by Prakash Jha Productions and Play Entertainment and co-produced by Milind Dabke, Jai Gangaajal revisits the dusty heartland of Central India and examines the society–police relationship.

Starring Priyanka Chopra, the movie is all set to release on Mar 4.

Jai Gangaajal is not a prequel or a sequel to Ajay Devgn starrer Gangaajal but is a fresh story.
