Himansh Kohli: When it comes to fashion, I give preference to comfort over looks

Mumbai: Yaariyan actor Himansh Kohli, who is known for his style, shares his fashion mantra to beat the heat. He is also monsoon ready.

“When it comes to fashion, I give preference to comfort over looks. This summer, I have been crushing over singlets and have a collection of them now. And, I have got myself a dozen singlets, a hemp sandal and UV protection mesh jackets, and a couple of oversized T-shirts. I mostly buy clothes and footwear made of breathable fabric. I'm not a fan of anything that gives off that uptight feel,” he says. Gearing up for the monsoon, Himansh has started updating his wardrobe.

“The UV-protection mesh jackets are waterproof as well, so that will work. I’ll need some silicon shoe covers to be able to wear my favourite shoes without the stress of them getting wet,” he adds.

Ask if he is shopping a lot this time since for the last two monsoons we have been stuck at home due to the pandemic and the actor replies, “Yes, I have been buying everything that appeals to me and I’m picking something up almost every time I’m out. I won't say I’m shopping a lot because I’m mindful of the waste that excess shopping leads to and have drastically reduced the quantity even though I’m shopping a little more after the pandemic.”

Mumbai monsoons are crazy. So, when it comes to footwear, Himansh shares his go-to options.

“Trekking/running sandals are the best for Mumbai monsoons. But, I do want to give the silicon shoe covers a try and see if they are a sustainable solution,” he adds. The actor is also particular about his skincare regime. He believes one must look good and happy both from within and without.

“I have been following a very simple four-step skincare routine for ages i.e. cleanse, serum, moisturise and sunscreen. I also use eye cream, lip balm, scrub, mask, etc. as and when necessary. The only thing I have added now are anti-pollution skin care products, which contain activated charcoal, algae and mineral SPFs,” he shares.
