Hoichoi drops teaser of Parambrata Chattopadhyay's Bhog

Kolkata/IBNS: Hoichoi has unveiled the teaser of its much-anticipated series, Bhog.

The story surrounds Atin, brilliantly played by Anirban Bhattacharya, who was never one to believe in the irrational.

A man of logic, structure, and reason—until the day he stumbled upon her.

A seemingly ordinary brass idol, tucked away in an obscure corner of a curio shop, calls to him with a presence that’s both hypnotic and harrowing. What begins as mere curiosity spirals into something far darker. Something irreversible.

His days become restless, his nights haunted. He whispers her name like a sacred chant: “Maa.” But who is this, Maa? A deity? A figment? Or something far more menacing?

Parambrata Chattopadhyay in his directorial shoes returns to Hoichoi with another chilling tale after Parnashavarir Shaap and Nikosh Chaya.

This time with an adaptation of Avik Sarkar’s iconic story Bhog.

A psychological descent where faith slowly rots into fanaticism. As Atin slips deeper into his obsession, reality begins to fracture. Parno Mittra appears in a chilling role, her voice low and spine-tingling as she murmurs, “Dada Babu, Bhog debe na amake?” The question hangs in the air like a curse. The silence is thick, the shadows are watching—and the ritual has only just begun.

Speaking about the series, director Parambrata Chattopadhyay said "Bhog isn’t just a horror story—it’s about understanding the psychology of grief, a meditation on how obsession can masquerade as faith. I wanted to explore the quiet terror that lives in the space between belief and madness."

Bhog will start streaming on Hoichoi on May 1.
