Hollywood: Morgan Freeman apologises for sexual misconduct

Hollywood, May 25 (IBNS): One of the most iconic voice in the movie industry, Hollywood veteran Morgan Freeman has apologised after reports of sexual harassment surfaced against him.

"Anyone who knows me or has worked with me knows I am not someone who would intentionally offend or knowingly make anyone feel uneasy," the Driving Miss Daisy actor said in a statement.

He was called out by a production assistant who accused him of harassing her for months during the filming of Going In Style, a bank robbery comedy, starring Freeman, Michael Caine and Alan Arkin, a CNN report said.

According to the victim, Freeman "kept trying to lift up my skirt and asking if I was wearing underwear."

She also revealed that his attempts were never successful, but were repetitive.

Another woman who was involved with the movie Now You See Me, told the American news outlet that Freeman would often pass lewd comments about their bodies.

"He did comment on our bodies... We knew that if he was coming by ... not to wear any top that would show our breasts, not to wear anything that would show our bottoms, meaning not wearing clothes that [were] fitted," she said.

However, CNN also said in its report that about a dozen women have stated otherwise and found Freeman very professional.
