Washington/IBNS: The US political paradigm might see a new face as popular rapper Kanye West has said he is running for president.

He tweeted: "We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States ! #2020VISION."

His wife Kim Kardashian West and entrepreneur Elon Musk have already endorsed the rapper.

However, it is still not clear whether he is actually running for the elections.

He does not appear to have registered his name with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) for November's election, reports BBC.

Meanwhile, Kim retweeted her husband's post with an emoji of the American flag.
