Kolkata, Dec 4 (IBNS): Bengali film 'Chotoder Chobi – A Short Story' has received an award at the 45th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) Goa.

Actor Dulal Sarkar, has received  the Best Actor Award (Male) at the recently concluded IFFI 2014 which was held at Goa.

This is a First Best Actor award for any Bengali cinema in International Competition, IFFI.

This award also completes a hat-trick for Ganguly whose films 'Arekti Premer Golpo' and 'Apur Panchali' had bagged awards at the IFFI previously.

Kaushik Ganguly said, “To me, 'Chotoder Chobi' is a very special film. It is one of those films which open up both the heart and the mind.  Dwarfs are very commonly ridiculed in our society. My film looks beyond this common and cruel misconception”.

Dulal Sarkar said: “Kaushik da not only gave me this lifetime opportunity but also treated me like an artist on the set of the film.  This film also gave a lot of recognition to my community”.
