Jacqueline Fernandez turns 33, Bollywood celebs wish her

Mumbai, Aug 11 (IBNS): Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez on Saturday turned 33 as her colleagues from the Mumbai film industry wished her on birthday.

Born in the year 1985 to a Sri Lankan father and a Malaysian mother, she grew up in Bahrain.

Jacqueline was a model and won the Miss Sri Lanka Universe pageant in 2006 prior to her career in Bollywood.

A mass communications graduate, this leggy beauty has worked as a television reporter, hosted several shows and even appeared in music videos.

She was in India in 2009 for a modeling assignment when an offer from Bollywood came her way. Later that year, she debuted in Sujoy Ghosh’s fantasy drama flick Aladin opposite Ritesh Deshmukh. The film also starred Bollywood heavyweights Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt.

She went on to win the IIFA Best Debut Female Award and thus her courtship with the Mumbai based film industry began.

Murder 2 (2011) was her first commercial success, followed by blockbusters Housefull 2 and Race 2.

Several of her Bollywood colleagues congratulated her on birthday.

Jacqueline's Race colleague and senior Bollywood actor Anik Kapoor posted: "Happy Birthday, @Asli_Jacqueline!!! Your smile & positive energy is so infectious! Continue to be your awesome happy self always! Wishing you lots of love and luck!"

Actor Abhishek Bachchan tweeted: "Happy Birthday to the ever happy and smiling @Asli_Jacqueline. Have a great day filled with snapchatting!!!."

Varun Dhawan, who worked with Jacqueline in Judwaa 2, said: "Happy birthday Alishka @Asli_Jacqueline . You truly are the #jacqof."

Filmmaker Ekta Kapoor remarked: "Happie bday @Asli_Jacqueline."

Actress Huma Qureshi said: "Happy bday @Asli_Jacqueline stay happy stay blessed always you adorable cutie ."

Actress Preity Zinta tweeted: "Happy Birthday to Miss Sunshine #Jackie! Stay as sunny and as lovely as you are, always! Loads of love always! XOXO @Asli_Jacqueline #HappyBirthdayJacqueline #BirthdayGirl #Ting! ."

Filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh said: "happy birthday @Asli_Jacqueline ... drive well !."
