Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt and her onscreen brother Vedang Raina's chemistry dominated the trailer of the upcoming Hindi film, Jigra. The trailer was unveiled by the makers on Thursday.

In the 3:01-minute trailer, Alia promises power-packed action as she plunges into a battle to save her brother, played by newbie Vedang, who made his debut with The Archies last year.

The trailer begins with the shot where Satya (Alia) receives a phone call from her brother (Ankur) who lands into a jail on a foreign soil.

In the course of the trailer, Satya fights her way to free her brother from jail while Ankur endures the atrocities inside prison. In one scene, Satya even goes to the extent of making a suicide attempt to free her brother on an emegency basis.

Directed by Vasan Bala, Jigra is the first film where Alia's production house Eternal Sunshine collaborated with Karan Johar's Dharma Productions.

The film will hit the big screens on October 11.

In Jigra, Alia turned a singer again teaming up with Diljit Dosanjh. The two sung and featured in music video Chal Kudiye, which has already been unveiled by the makers.

Earlier, the two featured in music video Ikk Kudi from the 2016 film Udta Punjab, where Alia starred alongside Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan.

Apart from Udta Punjab, Alia featured as a singer in the 2014 film Highway. In the same year, she sang the acoustic version of Samjhawan from Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania.
