Mumbai: Actress Krissann Barretto, who is part of the series Dhappa, says that it was the comedy in the show which got her on board. The actress says that she was confident that people will love the content.

“People find Dhappa extremely funny and have loved the show. I chose the character because it’s very funny as well, and the story, too, was humorous. I relate to the character in the sense that she is carefree and fun loving,” she says.

Talking about working with director-producer Anil V Kumar, the actress says, “Anil sir was amazing to work with, so chilled out, so patient and calm! Absolutely loved it.”

Meanwhile, the actress also adds that OTT has changed a lot in the entertainment industry today, and has aided its growth. “OTT has made it amazing for all actors! Yes, a lot more talent is getting recognised and more opportunities. I think thrillers work best on these platforms. People are loving these series. Even funny content is working very well,” she says.

Krissann says that OTT has also removed the tags that actors carried on the platforms they worked on. “I don’t think now people look at actors as TV actors or web actors or film actors, it’s all just about talent and being at the right place at the right time. I’m looking to play all different characters because that is what I do! I always play a very different character that people would not expect,” she says.
