Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan is now a mother as she welcomed a baby boy recently.

The Freaky Friday actress, 36, and husband Bader Shammas have welcomed a baby boy, a rep for the actress confirmed to PEOPLE on Monday.

Son Luai — an Arabic name meaning "shield or protector" — was born in Dubai, though his exact date of birth has not been shared at this time, the magazine reported.

"Lindsay Lohan and her Financier husband, Bader Shammas, welcomed a beautiful, healthy son named Luai. The family is over the moon in love," the rep tells PEOPLE.

Lindsay and Bader were reportedly married last year.

After beginning her acting career as a child actor in the early 1990s, Lohan, at age 11, made her film debut in Disney's successful remake of The Parent Trap (1998).

Freaky Friday (2003) remains her highest-grossing film, while Mean Girls (2004), both a critical and commercial success, became a cult classic.
