Mumbai, Mar 14 (IBNS): Two Hindi films- Luka Chuppi and Badla- which released in March are still maintaining their strong run at the Indian box office.

Luka Chuppi, which stars actors Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon, has so far collected Rs. 73.44 crore.

Film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#LukaChuppi continues to attract ample footfalls... Current trending suggests ₹ 80 cr+ *lifetime biz*, which surpasses all expectations... [Week 2] Fri 3.15 cr, Sat 5.20 cr, Sun 5.31 cr, Mon 2.05 cr, Tue 2.07 cr, Wed 1.96 cr. Total: ₹ 73.44 cr. India biz."

The film captures a troubled onscreen live-in relationship of Aaryan and Sanon in disguise of marriage.

In an apparent comedy-drama, the two actors could be seen hiding their live-in relationship out of fear from their family members.

The film also stars Aparshakti Khurana, Pankaj Tripathi and Vinay Pathak in distinct roles.

Luka Chuppi, which released on Mar 1, has been directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan.

On the other hand, Amitabh Bachchan starrer Badla collected Rs. 34.35 crore at the Indian box office in six days. The film released on Mar 8.

Adarsh tweeted, "#Badla refuses to slow down... Maintains a solid grip on Day 6... Admirable trending on weekdays demonstrates the power of solid content... Fri 5.04 cr, Sat 8.55 cr, Sun 9.61 cr, Mon 3.75 cr, Tue 3.85 cr, Wed 3.55 cr. Total: ₹ 34.35 cr. India biz. Gross BOC: ₹ 40.53 cr."

Badla also features actress Taapsee Pannu in the other lead role.

The thriller is directed by Sujoy Ghosh.

Bachchan and Pannu had earlier worked in 2016 Hindi film Pink.
