Kolkata/IBNS: 'Ei Mayabi Chander Raate', a song with soothing lyrics, was unveiled by the makers of upcoming Bengali film 'Baba, Baby O' here on Wednesday.

The song was unveiled in presence of lead actors of the film, Jisshu U Sengupta and Solanki Roy, who is making her film debut.

'Ei Mayabi Chander Raate', spanning for about 3:29 minutes, captures a 40-something man, played by Sengupta, singing a song possibly at a private gathering with a woman in 20s, played by Roy, listening in.

Though the two tries to communicate through music, Roy's character is seen to respond to the lyrics at the end of the song, which is composed by Chamok Hasan from Bangladesh.

Apart from Hasan, Ikkshita Mukherjee, Hemlata CHakraborty and Barnomala have sung the song in the film, which is directed by Aritra Mukherjee.

'Baba, Baby O', which Sengupta says has dealt with a subject rarest in Indian cinema, is also centred on two kids.

The lead character, played by Sengupta, embracing fatherhood in her 40s through surrogacy will be shown in the film.

Jisshu U Sengupta

On an almost revisiting his parenthood, Sengupta, a father of two daughters, told India Blooms, "I have been a father for quite some time now. Almost 16 years now. So it is revisiting what I have done earlier in life and going through the same old process."

"But it was fun and great working with two kids," he added.

While the story and screenplay are done by Zinia Sen, dialogues were penned by Samragnee Bandyopadhyay.

Solanki Roy

Sharing her experience of working with Sengupta, Roy, who is a popular face on television, said, "Despite being such a senior actor, Jisshu da is so down to earth and supportive that I didn't feel like working with him for the first time."

"Jisshu da has helped me a lot in the film. It was an amazing experience," she added.

'Baba, Baby O', produced by Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy, is slated for Feb 4, 2022 release.
