Los Angeles/IBNS: The seventh season of Virgin River is now streaming on the global OTT platform Netflix.

As the latest instalment gets underway, lead actors Alexandra Breckenridge and Martin Henderson shared some fun behind-the-scenes moments on social media.

In an Instagram post, Breckenridge revealed that part of the season was shot in Mexico, writing: “Mexico was HOT. VR Season 7 out now.”

The trailer opens with Mel (Breckenridge) joyfully telling her husband Jack (Henderson) that she wants them to become parents to her baby.

The new season hints at evolving relationships and changing dynamics among several characters, including Brady and Brie, as well as Doc and Hope. Lizzie is also shown embracing motherhood.

Produced by Reel World Management, the series is based on the bestselling novel series by Robyn Carr.

Filmed in British Columbia, Canada, the show—set in the United States—first premiered on December 6, 2019.

Recap

The story follows Mel Monroe, a nurse practitioner and midwife, who leaves city life behind and moves to the remote Northern California town of Virgin River to work at a local clinic, hoping to heal from the grief of her husband’s untimely death.

Mel eventually falls in love with Jack Sheridan, a former U.S. Marine who owns a local pub and struggles with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Despite expecting a quiet and simple life, Mel soon discovers that Virgin River is anything but.

Mel and Jack tied the knot in Season 6, the most recent instalment currently available on Netflix.
