Mumbai to host Bollywood music extravaganza end-September

Mumbai, Sep 1 (IBNS):Mumbai will host its first homegrown Bollywood and regional music festival between September 30 and October 1, 2016, where more than 20 leading musicians are expected to participate.

The participating musicians will be seen jamming together on a single platform over two stages for the two-day festival to be held at Jio Garden in the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in Mumbai.

Headliners include Amit Trivedi, Arjit Singh, Rekha Bhardwaj, Papon, Hariharan, Sajid-Wajid, Zubin Garg among others

Titled Hungama Bollywood Music Project (BMP), the festival -- that will have state-of-the-art experiential zones and span over 5,000 sq. mts. of open space -- will be curated by Event Capital in alliance with TM Talent Management Company.

According to the organisers, it will be Asia's largest Bollywood music festival.

The advisory panel includes eminent musicians such as Rekha Bhardwaj, Hariharan, Sajid-Wajid and Sunny MR.

Prior to the festival, Bollywood Music Project will hold nation-wide talent hunts and expert master classes, said the organisers.

In the inaugural edition of the festival, Radius Developers have come on-board as the presenting sponsors for the extravagenza for a period of three years, while Hungama.com is the title sponsor for the festival.

Television channels 9xM and 9xJalwa are the media partners for the festival, while Red FM is the radio partner.

BMP is supported by the association of Straydog, Inox (Multiplex Partner), The Souled Store (Official Merchandise Partner), Glamsham.com (Entertainment Portal Partner), MissMalini.com (Digital Portal Partner), RadioandMusic.com (Trade Media Partner), True School of Music (Music School Partner) and Khushi (Ambient Media Partner).
