Never seen before action in Shreyas Talpade starrer 'Baji'

Mumbai, Feb 4 (IBNS) It is a known fact that Action directors from the South Indian Film Industry have become the preferred choice for Bollywood and now Marathi audiences are all set to get a taste of the same.

Come  Feb 6, 2015 fans and audiences would be treated to an action bonanza through the Shreyas Talpade starrer epic action love story ‘Baji’.

While the action is being helmed by ace stunt director from the south popularly known as ‘Stunt Selva’, a first for Marathi cinema, the film also marks the  Marathi superstar actor-producer’s return to Marathi cinema, as an actor, after eight years.

Having earlier done magnanimous films in South like Vettai (Madhavan), Thalaivaa (Vijay), Jilla (Mohanlal, Vijay) and Veeram (Ajith) the ace action director has directed some never seen before action sequences in the film, including the climax which for the first time in Marathi cinema has been shot on a moving diesel locomotive train and a ‘Maut Ka Kuan’ sequence which, once again for the first time, has been shot with specially created rigs.

The movie will also showcases Shreyas Talpade in a never before seen avatar. As is evident from the trailers of the movie that have taken social media by storm, audiences will be kept at the edge of their seats with some death defying sequences performed by Shreyas Talpade and his nemesis Jitendra Joshi.

Talking about the experience Stunt Silva said, “I was very hesitant at doing the film at first, because of the language barrier and also because I have worked only on significantly larger budgeted films in the South, but when Nikhil narrated the script to me, I was blown away with the whole idea and was also very impressed with his vision. Once convinced the budgets became a secondary issue and we found ways and means to surmount these challenges, including innovations in rigging, etc. without compromising on the scale and cinematic experience of these sequences."

“Both Shreyas and Jitendra are thorough professionals and the amount of effort they put in is remarkable. The physical transformation that they have given in the limited time period was unbelievable.  I had lot of fun on the sets and made some great friends,” added Stunt selva while commenting on working with Shreyas and Jitendra.

An epic blockbuster and pure family entertainer ‘Baji’ is shot across picturesque Konkan locales. It is an action-adventure-romance laced superhero vigilante about and hidden treasures, based on the legend of a man who took upon himself to protect the common man against oppression and injustice in this small village in Shrirangpur.

Produced by DAR Motion Pictures, Virtue Entertainment, Affluence Movies, Bluedrop Entertainment and IME Motion Pictures, ‘Baji’ which has been shot across picturesque locations of Konkan is slated for one of the widest releases in Marathi cinema.
