Noted Indian violinist Balabhaskar passes away

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 2 (IBNS): Noted Indian violinist  Balabhaskar, who was recently injured in a road mishap, died in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday, reports said.

The violinist and his wife were injured after the car in which they were travelling hit a tree after the driver lost control last week.

Their child died after the mishap.

Balabhaskar's wife Lakshmi and the driver are currently recovering at a hospital.

Musician Shankar Mahadevan mourned the death of the musician and tweeted: "Very sad. Very unfair! Just not able to come to terms with it. Our dearest #Balabhaskar has left us ... deeply saddened.. a very sad day for music ... our prayers are with the family ."
