Ranveer Singh recreates iconic World Cup trophy lifting moment from 1983

Mumbai/IBNS: Actor Ranveer Singh recently recreated an iconic moment from the 1983 World Cup-winning moment by Kapil Dev where he could be seen lifting the trophy.

Under Kapil Dev's leadership, India had won the World Cup for the first time in 1983 by beating West Indies.

In the latest image released by makers, Ranveer Singh, who will be seen portraying the character of Dev in the movie, is seen lifting the trophy.

Ranveer shared the image on his Twitter handle.

Director Kabir Khan's '83 is a biopic on Kapil Dev who had lifted the prestigious trophy for the first time for India in 1983.

The film will release in three languages- Hindi, Tamil and Telegu- on Apr 10.
