Ranveer Singh turns 41: Aditya Dhar’s emotional post about Dhurandhar will melt your heart

Singh, who won both critical acclaim and audience admiration for his powerful portrayal of Hamza, turned 41 on Monday while still basking in the continued success of Dhurandhar.

Director Aditya Dhar marked the occasion by sharing unseen behind-the-scenes images from the film’s shoot on Instagram, accompanied by a deeply emotional tribute to the actor.

Praising Singh’s dedication and artistry, Dhar wrote:“Some films stay with you forever. Dhurandhar will always be one of those films for me—not just because of the story we told, but because I got to witness something very few directors ever get to witness. I’ve always known you’re an extraordinary actor, but this journey made me fall in love with the artist you are and even more with the human being behind the artist.”

Recalling several intense sequences from the film, including the 26/11 sequence, the final tea shop scene, the Pathankot massacre, the pump house scene, and the court exterior, Dhar praised Singh’s commitment to every shot.

“Take after take, scene after scene, you never once looked for the easy choice. Every emotion landed exactly where it needed to. Every silence had meaning. Every glance had intent. Every beat was pitch perfect,” he wrote.

He added that Singh’s consistency on set was “almost impossible to comprehend,” describing his performance as something akin to divine inspiration.

“At times, it genuinely felt like watching someone touched by divine grace—as though Maa Saraswati herself had placed her hand on your head and blessed you with every ounce of artistic brilliance she could,” Dhar said.

In one of the most emotional parts of his message, Dhar wrote:
“Somewhere along the way, you stopped being just my actor. You became my brother. Thank you for trusting me with your heart, your craft and your madness. Thank you for giving Dhurandhar every piece of yourself. I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve created together.”

Actor Arjun Rampal, who played the antagonist in the film, also wished Singh on Instagram. He wrote:
“Happy happy birthday Sher-e. To more fabulous memories, performances, successes, love, ice baths, laughs and celebrations. Have a fabulous year ahead @ranveersingh. Big love and a huge hug.”

Ranveer Singh began his journey in Hindi cinema with Yash Raj Films’ Band Baaja Baaraat (2010), which emerged as both a critical and commercial success. His portrayal of Bittoo Sharma earned widespread praise and won him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut.

He went on to experiment with diverse roles, including a con artist in Ladies vs Ricky Bahl (2011). The year 2013 proved to be a turning point in his career, with acclaimed performances in Lootera and Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela.

Over the years, Singh has delivered several major hits, including Dil Dhadakne Do, Bajirao Mastani, Befikre, and Padmaavat, cementing his position as one of Bollywood’s most versatile and bankable actors.
