Mumbai, Feb 6 (IBNS); His electrifying moves may have left several people charmed over the years but this time Ranveer Singh found himself sharply criticised by netizens after reports emerged that many persons were hurt after he jumped on them during an event recently.

As per several media reports, several people were left hurt when Singh, in a bid to perform something cool, jumped on fans during the  Lakme Fashion Week event in Mumbai

" The Gully Boy star was at a Lakme Fashion Week event in Mumbai on Sunday where he was performing to the songs of the upcoming film. After completing his set, Ranveer jumped into the crowd in a bid to do something cool for his fans. However, he ended up hurting a few," reported Hindustan Times.

His action made several netizens citicise him and even few advising him to 'gro up'.

One Swapnil tweeted: " Can any common man jump like this? It would be crime. Now its okay bcoz its #Ranveer! Not fair, this is childish & foolish act, he need to grow up. Such incidents can lead to disasters like stampede. "

Another Spark said: "Wow...the leap of injury! Looks good in movies, but c'mon, why nt do it in real and hurt a few average indian citizens who dont matter that much! #RanveerSingh #JUMP #VIP #celebrity #ranveerjumps #SHOWBIZ."

Hipster, another netizen, posted: "No civil sense in the guy. A public personality shouldn't be this careless, no? Could have badly hurt the people."

Netizen Arunabha had a tough advice for Singh when he said: "@RanveerOfficial
Next time you jump into the crowd make sure @deepikapadukone stands there to hold you and grab you when you fall into her lap over her. My friend got a really bad sprain on his neck because of your stupid act. You are a married man now... Grow up a bit."

Ranveer will soon be seen in Gully Boy.

The movie will also feature actress Alia Bhatt.

Ranveer had ended 2018 with a bang as his Simmba emerged as one of the biggest hits of the year.
