Samantha completes 12 years in movie industry

Chennai: Southern star Samantha, who became a national sensation recently with her item song performance in  'Pushpa', completed 12 years in the film industry on Saturday.

She thanked her fans and went down the memory lane as she tweeted: "Today marks my 12th year in the Film Industry. It’s been 12 years of memories that revolve around Lights, Camera, action and incomparable moments. I am filled with gratitude for having had this blessed journey and the best, most loyal fans in the world !"

Her performance in 'Oo Antava' song in Pushpa made her a national sensation.

  is an Indian actress who has established a career in Telugu and Tamil film industries.

She is a recipient of several awards, including four Filmfare Awards South, six South Indian International Movie Awards and two Andhra Pradesh State Nandi Awards.

Samantha worked part-time on modeling assignments while pursuing a degree in commerce.

She soon received offers for film roles and made her acting debut in Gautham Vasudev Menon's critically acclaimed Telugu romance film, Ye Maaya Chesave (2010), which fetched her the Filmfare Award for Best Debut Actress and a Nandi Award.
