Mumbai, Sept 3 (IBNS): As their hit movie "Sangharsh" turned 19 years, actors Preity Zinta and Akshay Kumar turned nostalgic on Monday.

Preity said the movie remained 'closest' to her heart.

Actor Preity Zinta tweeted: "After all these years this film remains closest to my heart. If I was not an actor I would probably be #ReetOberoi from #Sangharsh. Thank you to the #Bhatts & #Tanuja for this opportunity. Thank you @akshaykumar & #AshutoshRana for making it so special! #19YearsOfSangharsh."

The movie released in 1999 and the thriller had turned the attention of movie lovers in that year.

Akshay also voiced similar sentiments and said: "The sentiment is mutual ."

The movie was directed by Tanuja Chandra.

It stars Akshay Kumar, Preity Zinta, and Ashutosh Rana in lead roles.
