Shubh Mangal Saavdhan earns Rs. 2.71 crores on opening day

Mumbai, Sept 2 (IBNS): Actors Ayushmann Khurrana and bhumi, who have united once again onscreen for Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, taste moderate success at the Box Office on the opening day as the movie earned Rs. 2 crore.

The movie hit the silver screen on Friday.

Film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted: "#ShubhMangalSaavdhan Fri ₹ 2.71 cr. India biz... Biz should witness an upward trend on Sat and Sun."

The movie is seeing the reunion of Bhumi and Ayushmann who had earlier worked together in 2015 released movie Dum Laga Ke Haisha.

The movie is directed by R.S. Prasanna and produced by Aanand L Rai.

Bhumi was last seen in another major August release Toilet: Ek Prem Katha.
