Singer Shilpa Rao prays for Bhopal hope with Abr-e-Karam

Mumbai, Dec 3 (IBNS): The upcoming corporate thriller ‘Bhopal: A Prayer for Rain’ shows the events that occurred prior to and after the fateful Bhopal Gas Tragedy thirty years ago. The effects of the tragedy were so vast and far reaching that they are forever imprinted in the minds of the people of Bhopal.

The film which aims to sensitize audiences about The Bhopal Gas Tragedy continues its efforts with ‘Abr-e-Karam’. This is a poignant song that reminds the viewers of the impact of that disastrous day.

Sung, composed and written by talented artist Shilpa Rao, ‘Abr-e-Karam’ is a plea for goodwill and fortune to come upon the city. This song is a prayer for the people of Bhopal that sorrow and despair may be washed away with a hope for a better tomorrow.

The video includes clips from the film that showcase residents of Bhopal dealing with the aftermath of the event. ‘Abr-e-Karam’ gives every person the strength to fight and rise against all odds. ‘Bhopal: A Prayer for Rain’marks the thirtieth year of the catastrophe shedding light on the brave survivors of the incident. The film has also impressed audiences in America and is all set for release in India.

‘Bhopal: A Prayer for Rain’, directed by Ravi Kumar and produced by Sahara Movie Studios and Rising Star Entertainment will release in India on Dec 5, exactly 30 years after the tragedy occurred.
