Kolkata, Apr 27 (IBNS): Power Publishers & Motion Pictures recently announced their upcoming new film, Synthetic Sati, a psychological thriller, directed by Rishav Ghosh, with Souraseni Maitra and Kheya Chattopadhyay as lead actresses.

The film will be ready in July 2019 and release as an original in one of the leading digital film streaming apps.

The film with a message is aimed at viewers in the 16 – 35 year segment.

The pre-production of Synthetic Sati has already started, said director Rishav Ghosh.

Ghosh has directed films like Drishtika: I See You (2017), and The Headphone (2014) and authored bestseller books like Eighteen Scars (2015).

He has written the story and screenplay of Synthetic Sati and has paid a lot of attention to the visuals.

The film deals with topics like loneliness, and the self-centered life of young adults toay and takes the route of a psychological thriller, with a tinge of mystery.

The principal filming will be done in June 2019, and is expected to be ready in July 2019.

The filming will be done in different locations in Kolkata and Newtown.

Synthetic Sati is a women-centric film.

The two lead women characters, Paro and Sati are being played by Souraseni Maitra and Kheya Chattopadhyay.

Maitra has worked in films like Finally Bhalobasha, Generation Ami, Byomkesh Gotro, Ami Asbo Phirey, Meghnad Bodh Rahasya, Chittagong, etc.

Chattopadhyay has worked in films like Abyakto, Butterflies of War, Dwitiyo Ripu, Bheetu: The Coward, etc.

The cinematographer of this film is Madhura Palit, who is the only woman cinematographer from India to get an award in Cannes film festival.

The editor of the film is Amir Mondal.

The film is produced by Pinaki Ghosh of Power Publishers & Motion Pictures, who has produced films like Sin Sister, Diner Seshe, and Drishtika: I See You.
