Thalapathy Vijay's The Greatest of All Time to release on this auspicious day

Chennai/IBNS: Excitement and anticipation are growing over actor Thalapathy Vijay's upcoming Tamil film 'The Greatest of All Time' and fans were getting excited to know the release date.

Finally, the makers have announced the release date and it's September 5, which marks Ganesh Chathurthi.

The announcement was made by the film's director Venkat Prabhu on his X handle.

"#TheGreatestOfAllTime from SEPTEMBER 5th!! Namma," he wrote.

Billed as a science fiction action entertainer, 'The Greatest of All Time' stars Prashanth, Prabhu Deva and Meenakshi Chaudhary in an ensemble cast along with Vijay, who plays dual roles.

Earlier Atlee was expected to direct the film but later Prabhu took charge of the project.

The film will have its dubbed versions released in Telugu, Kannada and Hindi languages.
