Toilet Ek Prem Katha is very dear to my heart, says Akshay Kumar

Mumbai, Aug 3 (IBNS): Toilet- Ek Prem Katha starring Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar is all set to hit the silver screen on August 11.

Whether it is providing financial help to the families of martyred soldiers, insurance covers to stuntmen, or movies like Oh My God and Holiday, Akshay Kumar has a varied repertoire of work to his credit. He is one actor who not only believes in entertaining his fans to the fullest but also the one to champion social causes.

Based on the health and sanitation conditions prevalent in the country today, film star Akshay Kumar is waiting with bated breath to bring Toilet Ek Prem Katha to audiences. “Toilet Ek Prem Katha is very dear to my heart. More than half of the rural population still opts for open defecation in India,” Akshay said.

He further added, “Open defecation is a serious issue in this country and this film is needed to bring to the fore, the harsh conditions in which we live. On seeing this the producers and I joined hands to create a product that would not only entertain but also shed light on issues that concern the country as a whole”.
