Yagya Bhasin on being part of Bal Naren: Feel lucky to be part of a film that is inspired by a great social message

The film is inspired by Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, a cause that he believes in.

“I feel really proud and lucky to be part of this film that is inspired by Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan. Even before this film was shot, years back, I supported the Clean India Campaign. I love maintaining cleanliness around myself and my neighbourhood. I feel lucky to be part of a film which is inspired by a great social message,” says the actor, who has also worked alongside Kangana Ranaut in the movie Panga. The actor gets candid about the roles he wants to do in the future.

Talking about how he prepares for his roles in films, Yagya says, “I did a lot like I always do for every character I play and I joined workshops that my production house Soham Rockstar Entertainment had conducted for me so I can understand my character better. I also improved my accent and my body language because I was going to play a role of a boy belonging to Mathura, Vrindavan area.”

Yagya also loved working with artists such as Rajneesh Duggal, Govind Namdev and Vindu Dara Singh in the film. “It was awesome. They were very kind and supportive and I learned a lot from them. They were really cool and we also created a lot of reels (smiles),” he says.

Ask him about the kind of films he wants to do in the future, and he says, “I want to try out different kinds of genres. I want to try different film styles, basically different types of films but my main focus would be Hollywood. I would love to be part of a Hollywood film as it's my dream. In fact, the first time I told my dad that I want to be an actor I asked him to shift to LA.”

He adds, “I want to explore different kinds of genres for the roles, different styles of roles like that of a villain and also other versatile characters like the one I played in my film Bishwa. It is tough to get something substantial after doing two title films.”
